RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill’s Community Standards team is reviewing and updating some of the City’s by-laws in 2023 and they want to hear from residents!
Kicking it off is a review of the community’s Sign By-law. Originally enacted in 2009, the Sign By-law regulates the size, location and number of signs that are allowed on a property and for special events. This phase of the project looks specifically at election signs and highway signs.

In recognition of the National Day of Mourning (April 28), all flags at City facilities have been lowered to half-mast.
On February 1, 1991, the Federal government passed the Worker’s Day of Mourning Act designating April 28 as the official day observed each year to recognize workers injured, killed or disabled on the job or who suffer from occupational illnesses.

RICHMOND HILL – Each year, National Youth Week celebrates youth and their participation in the community. Richmond Hill’s 2023 event is coordinated in collaboration with the City’s Youth Action committee and features an array of activities that celebrate arts, sports and recreation programs. Richmond Hill residents aged 12 to 18 are invited to participate in this year’s Youth Week, May 1-7.
